Korty EO — Talk Show Set Design

This project involved the design of a purpose-built studio set for a new talk show format developed by Korty EO, conceived as a contemporary late-night experience combining interviews and live musical performances. The brief centered on creating a single adaptable environment capable of supporting both conversational and performance-driven moments within the same spatial language.Guided by a retro-urban aesthetic, the set blends surreal, dreamlike elements with street-inspired visual cues, resulting in a space that feels expressive without becoming visually overwhelming. Color was used intentionally to support camera movement and lighting rather than compete with it. With no reliance on natural light, the environment was designed to fully respond to controlled studio lighting, reinforcing the atmosphere of a late-night show.The final outcome consisted of two closely related variations of the set, allowing subtle shifts between interview and performance modes while maintaining visual continuity. Creative direction was led by Anita Ashiru of AACreatives, with close collaboration throughout the design process to translate the show’s tone into a cohesive spatial experience.
